Overture Films Sets In 'Stone'
Overture Films is acquiring U.S. distribution rights to the dramatic
thriller Stone, Overture CEO Chris McGurk and COO Danny Rosett
announced. The film stars Robert De Niro (Raging Bull), Edward Norton
(Fight Club), Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil franchise) and Frances
Conroy ("Six Feet Under").
TNT Picks Up 'Dark Blue' For Season 2
YNT has picked up freshman drama "Dark Blue" for a second season. The
network has ordered 10 more episodes of the cop drama starring Dylan
McDermott and executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
New Downloadable Content Hits Brütal Legend
Electronic Arts and Double Fine Productions rock with the release of
Hammer of Infinite Fate, the second downloadable content pack for the
heavy metal, third person action game, Brütal Legend. Hammer of
Infinite Fate introduces a series of new skins, weapon upgrades,
multiplayer maps and unlockable achievements for players to sink their
horns into. The DLC pack will be available on Xbox LIVE on December 17th
for 480 MS Points and for $4.99 on the Sony PlayStation Network.
Licensing Launches For Avatar
Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising will launch one of its
most innovative merchandising campaigns to date, in support of the movie
Avatar, introducing more than 125 products across four key categories:
video games, toys, apparel and publishing. Partnering with industry
leaders Ubisoft, Mattel, JEM, HarperCollins and Abrams, Fox Licensing's
line will push existing boundaries to extend the movie experience as
never before.
CBS Hears 'Murmurs'
CBS is hearing "Murmurs," teaming with writer Jason Smilovic and
producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas for the time-travel drama. The project,
from CBS Studios, is set in a world where time travel is a reality and
centers on the Commission, an agency that detects and corrects
alterations in time called murmurs, ensuring that history remains
unchanged.
Stan Lee Kicks Off The 2009 Marvel Digital Holiday Special!
Tis the season to celebrate! And what better way to do so than with the
2009 Marvel Digital Holiday Special - an exclusive, four-part comic
available only at Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited. The legendary Marvel
