We went a bit mad this week, offering up around 37 posts in as many hours over the Thanksgiving holiday period, including a page from Alan Moore's new graphic novel Neonomicon and a Jock Batman.
So what else been has happening? Well, Wednesday was one of the bigger shipping weeks for comic stores in time for the post-Thanksgiving spending spree that the Pilgrim Fathers envisioned. Thankfully I gave you all some Brit DVDs to spend your remaining money on.
We also discovered hip hop inspiration from Marvel, Philippa Perry's new graphic novel, the reissue of the Filipinio comic classic El Indio, and the potential return of The Twelve.
Mark Evanier talked about the late Ken Krueger, Marvel instigated a new character policy, Alice and Peter were on the block, Martha Jones' marital status,
As one University launches a new raft of comics-related courses, Dennis O'Neil continues his Writing Comics and Graphic Novels course and Professor Ethan Watrall returns for a stunningly comprehensive lecture on Dr Wertham.
We caught a toy glimpse on Don Cheadle as War Machine, which everyone desperately linked in the hunt for just some Iron Man 2 news, got a glimpse of Jonathan Ross and Tommy Lee Edwards' Turf which We'll soon be hearing lots of I expect. As we will of Howard Chaykin and John Romita Jr's Schmuggy And Bimbo.
The blind items returned in a one off special, that may well return at some point. Marvelman stories never die, we just get extra bits here and there. And DC Comics are making retailers sign stringent contracts to get Blackest Night 6 for Christmas. Don't cross that Bob Wayne, he'll be patrolling comic shops personally with a shiv carved out of a Red Lantern ring.
