CW Renews 'Vampire Diaries.'
Vampire Diaries returns for a third season, continuing to be the CW's
most-watched drama averaging 4 million viewers, and is its top show in
the women 18-34 demographic (2.9).
Superman Renounces U.S. Citizenship
In a bid to market Superman globally, DC has had Superman renounce his
American citizenship, stating that "Truth, justice, and the American way
aren't enough anymore." DC/Warner Bros., have been moving in this
direction for several years, most notably in "Superman Returns," where
the words American way were removed when discussing what Superman stands
for.
Production Starts On The AVengers
The Avengers, Marvel Studios' climax to all its movies featuring solo
heroes, has begun production in New Mexico under the direction of Joss
Whedon. Additionally, it was revealed that Loki will be a villain.
