Stan Lee Sued Over Superhero Trademark
Stan Lee announced a new series entitled Stan Lee's "Super Seven," which
centers on the 87-year-old Lee struggling with writer's block and
encountering a spaceship of aliens in the desert. Lee takes advantage of
their powers and assigns them superhero identities and tasks to perform.
However, tfiled a complaint in U.S. District Court in California against
Lee, POW! Entertainment, A Squared Entertainment, and other entities,
alleging trademark infringement and unfair competition.
Rockstar Games Announces Red Dead Redemption Legends and Killers Pack
Rockstar Games announced Red Dead Redemption's Legends and Killers
Pack is now available for digital download from the Xbox LIVE and
PlayStation Network.
"With Legends & Killers we wanted to provide a wealth of new content
for fans of Red Dead Redemption," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar
Games. "We took care to pick out areas that were unique and exciting
and then polished them to provide the best possible multiplayer
experience."
'Last Man Standing' Sci-fi Project Won By Paramount
Paramount has picked up "Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty
Hunter," a coffee table book from Heavy Metal Publishing.The book is a
giant art-filled book that will jump into the graphic novel form and
have a presence online as well. The story centers on a bounty hunter
named Gabriel, created by a weapons organization to be part of its army
of Paladins, "a soldier with the talent of 500 soldiers." After
being framed and sent to prison, he escapes and enters the world of New
Amerika, filled with genetically enhanced shark-men, ninjas and
burlesque girls, as he tries to unravel the reason behind his set-up.
Syfy to Adapt 'The Lotus Caves' Novel
Syfy will adapt a popular science-fiction novel called "The Lotus
Caves," "Pushing Daisies" creator Bryan Fuller will co-write the
adaptation with "Pushing Daisies" writer Jim Greythe. The 1969 book by
John Christopher is about two rebellious boys living on a lunar colony
discover an uber-smart being living in the title caves.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Collector's Editions Now Available for Pre-Order
Activision de-classified details regarding the Collector's Editions for
Call of Duty: Black Ops. Call of Duty: Black Ops Prestige Edition and
the Call of Duty: Black Ops Hardened Editions are now available in
limited supplies for pre-order in the U.S. Call of Duty: Black Ops
launches on November 9th, giving gamers the latest classified
surveillance technology -- the RC-XD -- as part of the Call of Duty:
Black Ops Prestige Edition.
