New York, NY - August 16, 2010 – DEMON GUN, a three part mini-series by writer Gary Cohn and artist Barry Orkin, is now available for downloading through the Panelfly App for reading on iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad devices. Issue 1 is available as a free download, and issues 2 and 3 are available for $.99 each.
DEMON GUN was originally published in print in 1996 by Crusade Publishing, and was later collected as a graphic novel in France by Esprit and in the United States by Crusade Fine Arts. Rights for DEMON GUN are represented by licensing agency Grand Design Communications.
Electronically published under the GDC label and distributed by Panelfly for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, DEMON GUN tells a chilling tale of supernatural vengeance in the old west! Seeking to avenge the slaughter of his flock by the refugee Confederate Colonel Quail, Preacher Howe is armed with a supernatural six-shooter that burns the very souls of its victims. A dark tale of horror set in the wild west of the post-Civil War New Mexico Territory, DEMON GUN brings together meticulous historical research with an understanding of the Bible and Psalms, resulting in a tale of frontier justice -- with a twist.
GARY COHN is well known for his many comic book writing credits, including SHI, BLUE DEVIL, AMETHYST, movie-to-comics adaptations, and many other titles. DEMON GUN brings together many of Gary's favorite themes and settings in one story.
Illustrator BARRY ORKIN is an experienced commercial artist, having drawn many of the most famous cartoon characters in the world for the licensed goods and apparel market. His current comics projects include a new series, CHILDREN OF PERSEUS, and an adaptation of SIR GAWAIN AND THE GREEN KNIGHT. DEMON GUN was his first comic book work.
