Warner Bros. Makes Watches
Warner Bros. Consumer Products has partnered with Accutime Watch to
introduce premium watch designs inspired by legendary characters from
the DC Comics Universe and Looney Tunes. Designs will feature DC Comic's
Batman, Superman, Supergirl and Wonder Woman; Looney Tunes' Tweety,
Taz, Marvin and other Looney Tunes favorites; and an exclusive DC Comics
Collector assortment with Batman and Superman. The watches will hit
stores in October.
Radical Publishing Announces Debut of Damaged
Radical Publishing in association with Sam Worthington's Full Clip
Productions announced the debut of its new series, Damaged, which hits
store shelves August 3rd, 2011. This new crime series is created by
Michael and John Schwarz of Full Clip Productions, and written by Eisner
Award-winner David Lapham (Stray Bullets). Damaged is illustrated by
Dennis Calero (Cowboys & Aliens) with cover art by acclaimed artist Alex
Maleev.
'Tron: Legacy' Sequel in Motion with New Writer
David DiGilio has been tapped to write the sequel to Tron: Legacy. At
the same time, the scribe has sold a post-apocalyptic sci-fi series to
Showtime titled Last H.O.P.E.
Fox Relaunches Daredevil
Fox is turning its attention to the reboot of Daredevil, the blind but
sonar-powered Marvel superhero played on screen by Ben Affleck in 2003.
Brad Caleb Kane, a writer-producer on cult Fox TV show Fringe, has been
hired to pen the franchise's relaunch, which has high ambitions: Kane
is being asked to adapt one of the most influential and acclaimed comic
stories of all time, Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli's "Born
Again" run from Daredevil.
