ION Picks Up "Without A Trace"
With a focus on further building upon a primetime line-up that continues
to show significant ratings growth, ION Television has acquired all
seven seasons (160 episodes) of the hit crime drama "Without a
Trace," produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television, via a deal with
Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. "Without a Trace"
aired on the CBS Television Network until 2009.
Star Trek Comes To Casual Gaming
Gameforge will publish free-to-play casual browser games based on the
classic science-fiction franchise Star Trek. "We are proud that the
quality of our games and publishing services enabled us to acquire this
license," said Christoph Jennen, CFO of Gameforge. "Our upcoming
Star Trek browser games will further expand our consumer base and market
share on an international scale."
SpongeBob Faces "Clash Of Triton"
Nickelodeon, the number-one kids' brand and largest producer of
television animation in the world, wraps up Independence Day weekend
with the premiere of a new SpongeBob SquarePants special, "The Clash of
Triton," on Monday, July 5, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The half-hour special
features celebrity guest stars Victoria Beckham as Queen Amphitrite;
John O'Hurley as her husband, King Neptune; and Sebastian Bach (Skid
Row) as their rebellious son, Triton. Following the special, a week of
all-new SpongeBob episodes will premiere Tuesday, July 6, through
Friday, July 9, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
Nicolas Cage Rides Again In 'Ghost Rider' Sequel
Columbia makes another deal with the devil with "Ghost Rider: Spirits of
Vengeance." Nicolas Cage is in early negotiations to reprise his role as
Johnny Blaze, a stunt motorcyclist who, in order to save the life of a
loved one, makes a deal with the devil. His soul is twinned with that of
a demon, and he becomes a flaming-skulled man driving a motorcycle from
hell.
'Green Hornet' to get Imax treatment
Sony Pictures Releasing's "The Green Hornet" will buzz onto Imax screens
simultaneous with the film's domestic 2D and 3D release on Jan. 14,
2011.
