Square Enix Partners With Obsidian Entertainment for Dungeon Siege 3
Square Enix partnered with Obsidian Entertainment on Dungeon Siege 3.
With input from the original developer, Gas Powered Games, Obsidian
Entertainment will develop the next incarnation of the Dungeon Siege
franchise with Square Enix as the game's publisher. Coming for the first
time to high-def home video game console, Dungeon Siege 3 will be
available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
WOWIO Acquires DrunkDuck
WOWIO announced the acquisition of webcomics community DrunkDuck from
Platinum Studios. Following last week's acquisition of social
networking site WEvolt, the acquisition of DrunkDuck will expand
WOWIO's existing library of content available for viewing, as well as
broaden the site's user base through its 95,000 community members.
100 Classic Books Turns the Nintendo DS System into a Portable Library
of Books
On June 13, people who own any one of the Nintendo DS family of systems
can buy 100 Classic Books, a compilation of some of the greatest works
of classic literature. But the best part is that the entire collection
is available at a suggested retail price of just $19.99. And users with
broadband Internet access can wirelessly download 10 additional books at
no extra charge.
FremantleMedia Enterprises Joins JAKKS Pacific & Dentsu on MONSUNO Joint
Venture
JAKKS Pacific and Dentsu Entertainment USA announce that FremantleMedia
Enterprises (FME) has entered into a production and distribution
agreement with the Joint Venture formed by JAKKS and Dentsu for the
original new animated entertainment project, MONSUNO. FME is the brand
extension and commercial arm of FremantleMedia, one of the world's
leading creators and producers of entertainment brands. Best known for
programs such as American Idol, The X Factor, and The Price is Right,
FME will be responsible for the exclusive worldwide (except Asia)
distribution of MONSUNO programming, and act as the Master Licensing
agent for the MONSUNO brand worldwide, with the exception of Asia where
Dentsu shall serve as the Master Licensing Agent. The MONSUNO lineup
represents the first programming announcement for FME's Children and
Family Entertainment division, launched last fall at MIPCOM.

Square Enix announced four new digital titles that are set to be
available for download in the coming months. The Tales of Bearsworth
Manor: Chaotic Conflict and The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Puzzling
Pages both for WiiWare as well as Necromachina and SPACE INVADERS
INFINITY GENE for PlayStation®Network and Xbox LIVE.
