Syfy Announces 'Phantom' Premiere
Syfy has set a date for its "Phantom" movie. The four-hour mini series
will air Sunday, June 20 at 7 p.m., with all four hours running the same
night. The latest movie version of the comic book series stars Ryan
Carnes ("Desperate Housewives") as a costumed superhero who relies on
his wits and skill with weapons.
Tonner Announces San Diego Comic Con Exclusive
TONNER reveals its San Diego Comic Con (July 21-25, San Diego Convention
Center) show exclusive, Leila from Warner Bros. Entertainment'
feature film, Jonah Hex. An authorized likeness of Leila (as portrayed
by Megan Fox), "Saloon Leila" is 16" tall and is limited to 200 pieces.
Saloon Leila is $149.99.
TNT Unveils Summer Lineuo
As one series comes to a dramatic conclusion, two new shows premiere and
four favorites return with all new seasons, TNT is doling out the drama
all summer long.
Angie Harmon and Jason Lee headline two of TNT's newest drama series:
RIZZOLI & ISLES and MEMPHIS BEAT. Harmon returns to television as Jane
Rizzoli, a Boston detective who, together with medical examiner Maura
Isles (Sasha Alexander), figures out the "who done it" and "how done it"
of some of Boston's most complex cases. In MEMPHIS BEAT, Jason Lee stars
as a quirky southern cop who has a great love for Memphis, music and his
mother. Meanwhile, returning favorites THE CLOSER, starring Kyra
Sedgwick, HAWTHORNE, starring Jada Pinkett Smith, LEVERAGE, starring
Timothy Hutton, and DARK BLUE, starring Dylan McDermott, return with
exciting twists and surprising new characters. And SAVING GRACE,
starring Oscar®-winner Holly Hunter, will end its journey as one of
television's most provocative series.
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty Pricing Announced
Blizzard announced that its highly anticipated real-time strategy game,
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, will be fully localized into Latin
American Spanish and will be available in Mexico, Argentina, and Chile
for a suggested retail price of $299 MXN / $119 ARS / $13,900 CLP. With
this purchase, players will have six months of access to the StarCraft
II single-player campaign and multiplayer play through the new version
of Battle.net®, the premier online gaming destination for Blizzard
Entertainment gamers. Continued StarCraft II play beyond the time
included with the initial purchase will be available via 30-day and
60-day subscription options. Pricing for these options will be announced
at a later date.
J.J. Abrams' 'Undercovers' Picked Up by NBC
NBC has picked its first new drama series for next season: J.J. Abrams'
"Undercovers.
pilot, which stars British actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Boris Kodjoe as a
married couple who are re-activated as CIA agents after years of
retirement. "Undercovers" also marks the first pilot Abrams has directed
since 2004's "Lost."
