Turner Classic Movies Announces Plans for Second TCM Classic Film
Festival

Turner Classic Movies (TCM), which successfully staged its first TCM
Classic Film Festival this past weekend in Hollywood, has given the
go-ahead for a second edition of the festival, slated to take place in
Spring 2011.

TCM primetime host Robert Osborne revealed the network's plans on
Sunday night, prior to the North American premiere of the restored
Metropolis (1927). "It's been a thrill for all of us at TCM that our
first classic film festival has been such a success, so we're
definitely going to do it again," said Osborne, the official host of
the festival. "It's been great fun bringing together so many
legendary stars and movie fans in a place where they could interact and,
at the same time, see great films. To paraphrase Bogart in Casablanca, I
think this is the beginning of a beautiful tradition."

Third Ring Film To Be In 3D

Combining two of Hollywood's consuming passions -- sequels and 3D --
Paramount is moving ahead with a new installment of the horror thriller
franchise "The Ring."

The third entry based on the Japanese horror movies is being called
"Ring 3D." David Loucka, who wrote the now-shooting thriller "Dream
House" for Morgan Creek, has been tapped to pen the script.

Shattered Horizon Firepower Weapons Pack Release Date Announcd

Futuremark Games Studio confirmed that the next major content expansion
for Shattered Horizon™ will be released on May 5. The Firepower pack
will add a range of new weapons and grenades to the PC exclusive
multiplayer first-person shooter. A new trailer released today shows the
weapons in action with the studio promising to reveal more every day on
the game's official website. Like all previous DLC packs from
Futuremark Games Studio, the Firepower pack will be free for all

Universal Studios Hollywood Challenges Filmmakers to Imagine 'King
Kong's Path to Universal Studios Hollywood'

Universal Studios Hollywood is challenging filmmakers to compete in a
virtual short film competition with $15,000 in prize money timed to
coincide with the launch of the theme park's highly anticipated
attraction, "King Kong 360 3-D," the world's largest, most intense 3-D
experience, opening this summer.

Filmmakers are invited to submit one-to-three minute film shorts that
support the theme, "King Kong's Path to Universal Studios Hollywood" via
the creative online social networking site, Zooppa, which is
administering the competition on behalf of Universal Studios Hollywood,
at www.zooppa.com/contests/king-kong.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Goes Hot on November 9, 2010
