Marvel Comics Licenses LCD & LED HDTVs
Roundtable Concepts Inc. is launching RTC23, their officially licensed
Marvel Comic LCD and LED HDTVs. The cast of characters consists of Iron
Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Wolverine, Thor and others. Your
favorite Marvel Super Hero is embellished on the bottom two corners of
the frame and is offered in 22", 32", 42" and 55" HD LCD screen sizes as
well as 40" and 46" LED HDTV's. Now here's the cool part: not only do
the characters appear on the casing, but when you power on the TV, the
name and the character appear on the screen for approximately 8 seconds,
making it the "Ultimate Comic Fan's TV," which RTC23 titles its i23s
system technology that simply makes TVs more fun.
The Adult Swim Block Party and Ragbag of Jollification Begins Nationwide
Tour
Adult Swim is in full swing to hit the streets on April 7 to bring The
Adult Swim Block Party and Ragbag of Jollification to 10 college towns
nationwide. The block party takes place at local venues just minutes
away from college campuses, featuring live music, a variety of
carnival-themed games inspired by Adult Swim original series, raffles,
prizes and lots of free swag. Attendees can also interact with all-new
product from tour sponsors T-Mobile and Capcom, which will be featured
in custom areas at each stop on the tour. The events are free and open 6
p.m. – 10 p.m. to anyone ages 18 and older.
Syfy Digital Acquires Riese
Syfy remains on the forefront of cutting edge fantasy based digital
entertainment with the acquisition of the highly acclaimed web series,
Riese, it was announced today by Craig Engler, SVP and GM of Syfy
Digital. Syfy Digital has acquired the rights to the entire 10-part
series - which is distributed by Fireworks International, the television
and digital distribution arm of ContentFilm plc - with an eye towards
development for a broadcast air. Riese consists of two five-part episode
seasons, with season two premiering fully for the first time exclusively
on Syfy.com. Season one and two are both slated for a digital launch in
the fall 2010.
