Space Ninjas and Amusement Parks Highlight New Book by Diana Thung
Captain Long Ears, the debut graphic novel by artist Diana Thung,
explores the depths of one child's imagination as he learns to deal with
life, grief and the death of his father. Eight-year-old Michael has lost
his father. Michael's mother has thrown herself into work to avoid the
grief. Determined not break a birthday tradition, Michael heads to the
theme park accompanied only by his imaginary friend, a gorilla named
Jam. Believing themselves to be space ninjas, they embark on exciting
adventures. However, things go awry when they decide to save the park's
elephant.
Sergeant Stiles Returns in Garth Ennis' 'Battlefields #4'
Acclaimed writer Garth Ennis and fan-favorite character Sergeant Stiles
are back in March 2010 for another run on "Battlefields"
Stiles is taking the helm of a Firefly in "The Firefly and His Majesty."
In this sequel to the critically acclaimed "The Tankies" storyline, it's
1945 and Stiles has been promoted from Corporal to Sergeant. With his
Firefly, a British version of the Sherman Tank, and a high-velocity gun,
Sherman is set to tear apart any German Tiger tanks in his own way - but
this time, the Germans have an ace up their sleeve…the fearsome King
Tiger tank!
Metro 2033 Goes Gold
THQ announced Metro 2033, the atmospheric first person shooter set in a
post-apocalyptic Moscow, has passed the gold master stage of development
and entered manufacturing. Powered by brand new technology - the
formidable 4A Engine - Metro 2033 will set a new graphical benchmark on
both Xbox 360® and PC when it hits retail outlets on March 16th in the
US and Germany, March 18th in Australia and March 19th in the rest of
the world.
