1. Matchstick Middle Earth Not only that, this link to a matchstick museum showing a matchstick rendition of one of the locations in Lord Of The Rings, has become the most read Bleeding Cool post of all time, outstripping the Watchmen 2 post by 50%. Blimey. It just goes to show.
2. The Muppet Wicker Man Comic And yes, on that point,. this hosting of the Muppet Show/Wicker Man mashup has become the third biggest post of all time at Bleeding Cool. The power of Reddit.com apparently.
3. The Great Amazon $14.99 Graphic Novel Sell Off Of 2010.Our fourth most popular post of all time, seriously, it has been one hell of a week at Bleeding Cool. This was aided and abetted by a) everyone in comics suddenly putting on an Orange Lantern ring, b) all the comics reportage shutting down for the day aside from Bleeding Cool c) comic professionals going mad for insane bargains and retweeting it to their followers – from Gail Simone to Dan Slott to Sean Phillips.
4. Official: It's A Glitch – And It's Being Fixed. – Ah yes, beginning to tell everyone the bad news. Some people just refused to believe it, but I went to Diamond and I found someone working on a Sunday. They do you know, even if Newsarama have got their feet up.
5. Daddy, What Did You Buy In The Great $14.99 Amazon Day? This second post was purely in the wake of rocketing viewing figures for the first. Commercial, mercurial I know, but I was on a roll. And there were lots of seeming-bargains I'd managed to miss. It was around this time that someone pledged to name their first born child after me in gratitude that I thought I was onto a good thing with this story.
6. It's A Glitch – But Will Amazon Notice? The first commentary from actual publishers as surprised by this as the customers starts to seep through.
7. Here Come The Amazon Cancellation Letters. Ah the sad, sad news that not everyone was going to get a $125 comic book for $14.99. Obviously to be expected, the next concern is just how many items will slip through the closing net…
8. Marvel Says Eff You To Its Readers.A prominent typo on the back of Ultimate Avengers has slightly unfortunate connotations…
9. TOLDJA: Marvel confirms Avengers Academy. Ed Brubaker may get annoyed by the smug self-satisfied tone but, c'mon, this was going to happen. The teaser ads and official credit confirmation has now been pushed out through the usual sources.
10. Kevin Smith Gets Bupkiss For Green Hornet Comic. The revelation over the new Dynamite comic book, despite Smith's involvement in both the comic and its promotion. Now with added commentary from Nick Barrucci.
