Taylor Lautner to star as 'Stretch Armstrong'

Taylor Lautner has signed on to star in "Stretch Armstrong,"
Universal's movie based on the Hasbro toy. The studio is also making
the movie in 3D, which will push back the release date of the movie from
May 15, 2011 to some time in 2012.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton to star in 'The Thing'

Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Joel Edgerton will star in "The Thing,"
Universal's latest take on the shape-shifting alien who terrorizes a
group of people in a remote facility.

Marvel Teams with Maisto for Die-Cast Vehicles

Marvel Entertainment continues to expand its presence in the toy
category through a new deal with Maisto International for die-cast toy
vehicles featuring Marvel's Super Heroes.

BBC America Continues 'Being Human'

After a hit season on BBC America, the network is bringing "Being Human"
back for two more seasons. The three main characters, Russell Tovey,
Lenora Crichlow and Aidan Turner play George, Annie and Mitchell, three
seemingly normal young people who are, in fact, a werewolf, a vampire
and a ghost. The second season will premiere late this summer on BBC
America, with the third season following shortly.

Adult Swim Expanding

Cartoon Network has decided to beef up its primetime programming.
Beginning in January 2011, Adult Swim, the Cartoon Network's
late-evening animation fare, will kick off the night at 9 p.m. instead
of 10 p.m.

Anime Expo® 2010 Announces Its First Guest of Honor…NABESHIN

Anime Expo 2010 is honored to announce anime director and seiyu Shinichi
"Nabeshin" Watanabe as an official Guest of Honor for its July
convention. The United States' largest anime and manga convention is
scheduled for July 1 – 4, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The famed director will participate in guest panels, meet-and-greets and
autograph sessions at the 19th annual Anime Expo.

Maggie Q to star as CW's 'Nikita'

In a pilot season shaping up as the most diverse ever for leads in
dramas, Maggie Q is in talks to play the title character in the CW's
"Nikita" reboot and Roselyn Sanchez has been tapped as the lead in ABC's
"Cutthroat."
