Stuart Townsend leaves Marvel's 'Thor'

Stuart Townsend has departed Marvel Comics' movie adaptation of "Thor"
because of creative differences. Townsend had been cast as Fandral, an
ally of Norse god Thor. He was replaced by Joshua Dallas.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians Comes To DS

Activision and Twentieth Century Fox announced the February 9, 2010
release of Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief for the
Nintendo DS. Based on the first title in Rick Riordan's best-selling
book series and the highly anticipated film from 20th Century Fox, the
tactical role-playing game puts players in command of Percy Jackson and
his fellow demigods as they battle for survival in a contemporary world
ruled by powerful Greek gods. Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The
Lightning Thief arrives in theaters everywhere February 12, 2010.

Vandor to Create Star Wars, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Elvis

Vandor has secured the rights to design and market products for the Star
Wars original trilogy, and it will re-introduce products featuring the
combination of Coca-Cola and Betty Boop. Key milestones for Vandor's
licensed properties include: for Star Wars, the 30th anniversary of The
Empire Strikes Back; for DC Comics, the 75th anniversary of Superman,
Wonder Woman, and Batman; the 75th birthday celebration of Elvis
Presley; the 60th anniversary of Peanuts; for Dr. Seuss, the 50th
anniversary of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and Green Eggs
and Ham; and for Muhammad Ali, the 50th anniversary of the Rome Olympics
Gold Medal.

'Iron Man 2' Gets Simultaneous Imax Date

Imax will release Marvel's "Iron Man 2" on its giant screens on May 7,
simultaneous with the film's worldwide release by Paramount Pictures.
The action-adventure sequel to Marvel Entertainment's 2008 movie hit was
blown up by Imax for a limited 2D release on its giant-screen network.
