DC Comics' Outsells Marvel In September
The first issue of the new "Justice League" has sold more than 200,000
copies compared to the 46,000 it averaged for the final issues before
the restart. This was the start of DC's renumbering, which seems to have
generated new interest in their titles. FOr the first time in years, DC
outsold Marvel for the month.
Leonard Nimoy and ELvira Bow Out Of Conventions
Leonard Nimoy and Elvira both announced that they would not be appearing
at pop culture conventions. Nimoy, age 80 retired from acting after
appearing in a recurring role n 'Fringe' and now has said goodbye to his
convention appearances. Elvira will make her final convention appearance
at Comikaze Expo in November. For years the two were staples at shows,
meeting fans and signing autographs..
