Sony Movie Channel Dresses Up for Halloween with 'Killer Mandays'

Sony Movie Channel is celebrating Halloween throughout the entire month
of October as its weekly double-feature block Mandays takes a stab as
Killer Mandays. "Sony Movie Channel is thrilled to bring such high
quality horror films to our viewers during the month of October," said
Superna Kalle. "With such prestigious filmmakers as John Carpenter and
Tsui Hark programmed for Killer Mandays, our audience will be screaming
for more."

HarperCollins Acquires "The School For Good And Evil"

Debut novelist Soman Chainani has signed a deal with HarperCollins
Publishers for a fantasy trilogy titled The School for Good and Evil, in
which ordinary boys and girls are trained to become extraordinary fairy
tale heroes or villains. The three book series was sold by Jane Startz
of Jane Startz Productions in a preemptive deal to Phoebe Yeh, an
Editorial Director at HarperCollins Children's Books. The first book
is scheduled for global publication in Spring 2013. Startz executive
Kane Lee discovered the series and Ms. Startz and her company are
attached to produce the film adaptation of the books, which has already
garnered studio interest.

DC Characters Move To Board Games

Warner Bros. Consumer Products has partnered with Wonder Forge to make
DC Super Friends and Justice League board games.

'Mortal Kombat' Headed Back to the Big Screen

New Line is hiring the filmmakers of the popular Mortal Kombat digital
series, made earlier this year by corporate sibling Warner Bros. Digital
Distribution, to take on a new adaptation of the classic 1990s fighting
game.
