Disney Sinks Yellow Submarine

Walt Disney sunk "Yellow Submarine," the next film by Mars Needs Moms
producer Robert Zemeckis. The remake of the classic Beatles cartoon was
already facing a few rocky reefs with budget issues, and a key
presentation Zemeckis was to have made before the Beatles heirs has been
delayed with no new date scheduled. The producer-director is now free to
shop the project to another studio.

New Book Features Secret Codes, Fast-Moving Action, Mystery and
Adventure

"Ninian Fire - Double Dutchman" is being launched on 15th March as the
first in a series of exciting new children's novels written by Kate
Anders and published by ElcaMedia Publishing. Set in Norwich, England,
the book centers around Ninian Fire, a boy who is crazy about codes and
languages.

Hasbro Delivers "16 Weeks of Cyber Sweeps" to Transformers Fans

Hasbro announced the start of the "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon 16
Weeks of Cyber Sweeps" event, a 16-week-long consumer promotion.
Leading up to the worldwide release of the new Paramount Pictures
live-action movie from director Michael Bay, and executive producer
Steven Spielberg, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, on Friday, July 1,
fans will have the opportunity to win grand prizes each week varying
from Hasbro Transformers toy packages to a family trip for four to the
star-studded U.S. premiere of the movie.

Darren Aronofsky Bows Out of "Wolverine"

Darren Aronofsky is bowing out of directing 20th Century Fox's sequel
The Wolverine, saying the project would keep him out of the country for
too long.

Syfy Renews "Being Human"

Syfy has given a second-season order to "Being Human." The heavily
female-skewing show has averaged 1.8 million viewers and has been
Syfy's most successful launch in six years of a scripted winter
series.

Costner Cast As Jonathan Kent in New Superman Movie

Kevin Costner has closed a deal to join the cast of Warner Bros. and
Legendary Pictures' new Superman movie being directed by Zack Snyder.
Costner will join a group of actors that so far includes Henry Cavill as
the Man of Steel and Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Superman's adopted Earth
mother.
